Solving communication gap between doctors and PsA patients through UI/UX & prototype for Novartis ideation challenge.
Novartis-PsA program helps people with Psoriatic arthritis conditions by providing the ability to track their symptoms in real-time and communicate with Rheumatologists with ease during their next visit to the clinic. The application lets the PsA patients track their medication, daily activities, food intake, and symptoms with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. The app makes it easier for the physicians to monitor the progress of their patients since their last visit and prescribes medication, treatment, food to avoid & activities accordingly for a better quality of life.
Novartis is looking for a simple and easy to adapt solution to help patients communicate the full history of their symptoms and impact on their quality of life during doctor visits in the most relevant way. Rheumatologists measure the severity and progression of their patients’ Psoriatic arthritis symptoms and provide solutions that improves their quality of life.
Research shows there's a huge communication gap between patients and their physicians, especially when it comes to tracking & understanding symptoms. By creating a persona with PsA condition, a low fidelity wireframes followed by an interactive prototype is made considering the major pain points for the doctors while treating their patients.
Interactive mobile apps are designed for patients & doctors where patients can record their daily activities & symptoms once a day. This enables physicians to better understand the patients' end-to-end experience, regardless of how much they recall on the visit date. The stats show severity levels & pain details which help doctors assess during the treatment.
Patients can record the severity of the pain at different parts of their body on a daily basis using intuitive sliders, checklists and weekly questionnaire. The records helps doctors see how different treatments affect patients and be able to provide better treatment.
Patients communicate the full history of their symptoms during doctor visits in the most relevant and simple way. Doctors measure the severity and progression of the psoriasis arthritis symptoms and impact on quality of life.
The intuitive UI helps the patients to record symptoms and pain points on their phone everyday.
Patients have an easy access to daily & weekly checklist to follow.
Doctors get complete statistics and history of patients treatment progress.
The list of appointments on a calendar helps doctors to plan their day better.
By answering the simple questions taken from National Psoriasis Foundation, the app informs the user if he/she is having the Psoriatic Arthritis condition and allow them to request for an appointment to visit our doctor.
Physicians can be more efficient and study their patient's medical records before the consult. This enables doctors to prescribe medications, improving diagnosis accuracy for patients. Doctors can see their patients treatment progress with visually ntuitive graphs.

Here's a sneak peek of the work done for this project before designing a high-fidelity interactive prototype. I always draw wireframes as they are an essential part of the product development process, allowing you to identify issues earlier on, saving time & money in design and development phases.
