Problem identification, wireframes, UX UI, prototypes, and a pitch deck for teachers, parents, and admins of the tour operating system.
Smart tours help teachers, parents, and students to be on the same page during the field trips. making it easy for parents to communicate with teachers during the tours. Live feed allows everyone involved in the tour to see what's happening during the tours at all times - no more guessing! Know exactly where your kids are at any given moment. Admins and teachers get access to analytics of their tour performance including payment records that will help them provide better tours for future years.
We are looking to build mobile applications that allow students and parents to interact in fun ways during field trips. Additionally, the major challenge is providing school administration with a way of managing payments, communicating updates about tours while they happen, alerting parents if an emergency occurs on tour day or getting feedback from them after it's over.
After studying the use cases based on the user roles - school admins, teachers, employees and parents, a Business process mapping is designed considering the users who were interested in having certain features as a part of the platform. Low fedility wireframes & sketches are made to discuss and refine before designing the interactive prototype for all users.
A well-structured platform is designed where all user roles connect with ease through mobile and web applications. The platform allows teachers to post photos and videos on a live feed while parents can interact with comments, likes etc. Admins have access to complete statistics and manage payments, employees, teachers & children from their web application.
Teachers can post photos and videos of the tour in real time, keep parents in the loop with up to date info when you're at specific points on tours. You won't need to spend hours trying to manage tasks for individual people anymore; it's all done right from the app.
Parents can browse and find tours that are uniquely tailored for their child's current interests. You can view live feed and post comments during your child's tour time with the teacher, so you don't miss out on any of their creative fun!
Parents can browse tours that are suitable to their kid's current interests and join them.
Teachers and parents can interact during the tours while posting videos & photos of the places they visited.
The messaging system helps the parents to get updates on anything at any time during the tour.
Admins and employees get the complete statistics of the tours on their dashboard and quick numbers on their smart watch.
Admins, employees and teachers will have access to statistics about how many parents and kids they've reached plus other important details like signups, refunds, payments, list of tours etc. on their dashboard.
Teachers and parents can stay connected during the tours. Admins, teachers or employees can update the tours with any important information so that it's accessible to everyone. The dues shown on the parents profile makes it easy for them to do quick payments.
The smartwatch tracks the total number of tours happening in a week, month and year. The statistics help tour operators see the profitability trend at a glance which helps them take better business decisions.

Here's a sneak peek of the work done for this project before designing a high-fidelity interactive prototype. I always draw wireframes as they are an essential part of the product development process, allowing you to identify issues earlier on, saving time & money in design and development phases.
